2019: We ‘ll build a new Abia , Ogah promises
. Tells APC to field its ‘Ronaldo if it wants to score its penalty’

Oil magnet and former People Democratic Party ( PDP) governorship aspirant in 2015 , Dr. Uche Ogah, has promised to ” build a new Abia State ” if given the opportunity to govern the state in 2019.

Ogah who defected to the All Progressive Congress ( APC) last year after losing his bid to unseat Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu at the Supreme Court, said that under his watch, Abia would witness economic and infrastructural revolution.

The business guru stated this while addressing APC leaders at the Camp Neya country home of a former Governor of the state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, on Thursday.

When he was called up to give his good will message after Kalu had finished addressing the party leaders, Ogah said he would fully unveil his manifesto at a later date.

” When you asked me to come I am ready to work for you . What else do you want me to declare?
” I am totally committed to the revolutional transformation of Abia State. All of you know that I have the capacity to take this state beyond the imagination.

” It is all about the interest of the state and the unborn generation. With the machinery already put in motion Abia shall be great again.

” We want to build a new Abia where there will be no dichotomy or discrimination. I will build a new Abia that will give hope to our youths and restore the confidence of our fathers and mothers.

” Under my watch Abia will see real development. The master plan has already been drawn. At the appropriate time it will be unveiled.”

The former PDP governorship aspirant said ” today PDP is scared because they know we have the capacity to do what is necessary.”

Ogah however, enjoined APC members in the state to ensure only the best aspirant who has the capacity and competence to deliver is given its ticket during its primaries.

” If you want to change the PDP government in power you have to give us the best candidate. If you want to play a penalty you use your best.

” Any team that wants to play a penalty and score a goal will not leave out its Ronaldo. For APC to win we must field our best”.

Ogah who is also the Abia State Coordinator of President Muhammadu Buhari support group, urged Ndigbo to vote enmass for Buhari in 2019, saying he ” means well for the race contrary to insinuations in some quarters.

” Let no body deceive you, President Buhari loves Ndigbo that is why when he wanted to contest in 2003 he chose Igbo as running mate. Again in 2007 he chose Igbo as running mate.

” Ndigbo downplayed their votes for PDP in 2015 that is why Buhari won. It will be wise for us to vote for him in 2019 and be in the mainstream party”.

Ogah charged APC members in the state not to be afraid but to boldly canvass for support.

” I want you to be courageous. APC is very strong in Abia State If they push you push them ten times. If there is a problem call us on phone . We will come there to see you through.”
