Nomination form for President according to NUJ costs N200,000.

Handing over the nomination form to Isiguzo at the NUJ Press Centre Umuahia, on Wednesday, NUJ Chairman, Abia State, Comrade John Emejor, said the gesture was borne out of the council’s conviction that Isiguzoro has the capacity and all the needed qualities to lead NUJ at the centre.

He said Isiguzo’s antecedents and landmark achievements as the NUJ Vice Chairman, South East, left no one in doubt that “somebody in his mould is what NUJ at the centre needs to put it on the path of greatness.”

Responding, Isiguzo expressed gratitude over the gesture which he said had tremendously encouraged him.

Isiguzoro who said he was only at the Press Centre to pick his nomination form and not to campaign as it was not yet time for campaign, however, noted that he was in the race to rescue NUJ from ” imminent collapse”.

He said the current national leadership of NUJ had completely drifted, hence his joining the race to rescue the union from total implosion.

” My candidature is a movement, I am on a rescue mission because NUJ has clearly drifted. That is why we said that men of goodwill should come together and rescue this movement .
