By Steve Oko
Team Ogah, one of the vibrant support groups of the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Abia State, Dr. Uche Ogah , has said that “the fear of APC is the beginning of wisdom in Abia State “.
The State Chairman of the group, Comrade Kingsley Nduoma who made the submission while addressing his members Friday in Umuahia , said APC would form the next government in the state come 2019.
Nduoma said the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as well as other political parties in the state “are now in panic mode” following Ogah’s emergence as the APC flag bearer in 2019 governorship poll.
He said that Abians were tired of the PDP-led administration in the state due to bad leadership, hence the clamour for Ogah who they strongly believe would end their sorrows.
Nduoma said the emergence of Ogah was divine, and that “he is on a mission to rescue Abia from bad leadership “.
He said that “Ogah is in a hurry to transform the state” if elected , as he would replicate his success stories in the private sector.
The Team Ogah boss expressed the confidence that Ogah as well as other APC candidates would sweep the polls in 2019.
He boasted that APC parades an army of “who is who ” in Abia politics , a development that he said, had brightened the chances of the party in 2019.
Nduoma commended members of the team for their efforts during the APC primaries that culminated into the victory of Ogah at the exercise.
He urged them not to relent in their support for Ogah until he is delivered at the main poll.
The Chairman commended other governorship aspirants who contested the APC ticket with Ogah for their maturity in conceding defeat.
He particularly thanked them for congratulating Ogah and pledging to work for him at the poll.
Nduoma also welcomed scores of new entrants at the meeting which was massively attended by members of the team from across the state.
Addressing the members, the Deputy Director General of Ogah Campaign Organisation, Chief Emeka Ihemegbulam, thanked them for their massive support for Ogah at the primaries, and urged them to sustain the tempo.
On the complaints by the members that some “leaders and party big wigs ” worked against the interest of Ogah during the primaries, Ihemegbulam pleaded with them not to be discouraged but continue in their support for Ogah.
He however, noted that such complaints were being looked into with a view to forestalling future occurrences.
